• Exceptional minyan start times. Hashkama minyan this week will start at 6:20 due to Rosh Hodesh Elul.
• זמני תפילה חריגים. מנין ההשכמה בשבת יתחיל בשעה 6:20 עקב ראש חודש אלול.
• **This coming Sunday**A Blood drive will take place at the back of the shul on Sunday September 1 from 17:30 - 22:00. There is a shortage of blood, and all able-bodied people are asked to come and donate. Eligibility rules- age and health (in Hebrew) at https://www.mdais.org/blood-donation/who-can-donate
• התרמת דם תתקיים בחלקו האחורי של בית הכנסת ביום א', 1 בספטמבר 2019 בין השעות 17:30-22:00. יש מחסור דם בארץ וכל מי שיכול מתבקש לבוא ולתרום. הקריטריונים להתרמת דם מפורטים באתר מגן דוד אדום https://www.mdais.org/blood-donation/who-can-donate.
• Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Elul JSK will be held on September 7th, Parashat Shoftim. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than this Sunday, Sept. 1st. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.

• Looking for volunteers to blow Shofar for people who cannot get to shul on Rosh Hashana: If you can blow shofar and are willing to volunteer to blow for people who are home-bound, please contact Dan Feigelson (djfeigel@yahoo.com, 052-583-8618).

• The Tanach shiur between Mincha and Maariv on Shabbat afternoon taught by Mechael Kanovsky is starting to learn Sefer Tehillim. All those who want to understand what they say during davening and other times that Tehillim are recited, are more than welcome to join.
• שיעור התנ"ך בין מנחה למעריב מאת מיכאל קנובסקי המתקיים ביום שבת בצהריים, עובר לנושא התהילים. כל מי שמעוניין להבין מה הוא אומר בזמן התפילה ובזמנים אחרים בהם נאמרים תהילים, מוזמן להצטרף.
• **Important**From the treasurers. Many checks that have been received for membership/seats have been incorrectly made out, and may cause difficulty at the bank. Please make out checks to "מרכז קהילתי [ע"ש יעקב] ברמן" or "[Jacob] Berman Community Center". Other names, or adding "shul" or "synagogue" may cause the check to be rejected by the bank.

• High holiday seats and membership renewal. With approximately half of members already signed up, we have just sent out a second personalized email to those who have not yet registered. If you did not receive the letter, please verify that your mail-box isn't full, and check your Spam and Updates folders in case your email mis-filed itself. For non members and others who didn’t receive a personal email, a generic copy of the letter may be found on the Noticeboard, and the reservation form is available here: https://www.bermanshul.org/rhform. Those wishing to join the shul, can preregister here: https://www.bermanshul.org/register.php and then use their new ID to log in. You will be contacted to complete the membership process.
