• We regret to announce the passing of Yankel Moshkovich z"l, the father of our member Esther Steinmetz. The funeral took place on Sunday 13.8, at the Rehovot cemetery. Esther will be sitting shiva at her father's home, Glazer 15/7, 3rd floor through Friday afternoon, 18.8. Davening times are Shacharit: 6:15, Mincha: 19:15, Ma'ariv: 19:45. המקום ינחם אותה בתוך שאר אבלי ציון וירושלים. 
• We regret to announce the passing of Alvin Shames z”l, the father of our member Jeff Shames. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, 15.8, in Florida. Jeff will be sitting Shiva in Florida through Monday morning, 21.8. Jill is with him in the States, as well. • **Prices go up on Sept. 1st** Yamim Noraiim (high holidays). This year, seat orders for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur must be submitted using our new online form at www.bermanshul.org/RHform. Note that membership dues should be paid with your seat orders, and yearly dues must be paid even if you will not be here for the holidays. We also ask that you generously support our Tzedakka fund. The letter to members with full instructions can be found on the Noticeboard. If you pay by bank transfer, you MUST email a copy of your transfer to accounts@bermanshul.org or else there is no way to properly credit the payment

• There will be a new Book Club forming as a joint activity of Bermans and the Darchei Noam shul in Minneapolis. The books chosen should ideally have Jewish/Israeli content but the actual choice of books would be up to the participants.  If you are interested in being a coordinator or just a participant, please respond to david.tannor@weizmann.ac.il with the subject line: Book Club.
• Combined Tammuz/Av/Elul Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Tammuz/Av/Elul JSK will be held on September 16, Parashat Nitzavim-Vayeilech. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky no later than Sunday September 10th. Participation: 150 NIS for each person memorialized.
