Mazal Tov to Debbie Fass and Haim Haviv on Erez becoming a Bar Mitzva, and Mazal Tov to Jen and Max Schrutt on the Bat Mitzva of their daughter Arielle

Bar/Bat Mitzva:

• Mazal Tov to Debbie Fass and Haim Haviv on the Bar Mitzva of their son Erez. "The Haviv-Fass family invites you to join them in spirit in their very, very tiny but very, very joyful home-bound celebration of Erez's Bar Mitzva (and Galia's 13th birthday). Mazal Tov as well to the Schrutt family on the occasion of Arielle's Bat Mitzva. We thank you all for supporting the directives of the Health Ministry and look forward to the opportunity to share our simcha with the community in the future."
• Mazal Tov to Jennifer and Max Schrutt on the Bat Mitzva of their daughter, Arielle. Mazal Tov as well to Richard Harris and Gerri Harris, maternal grandparents and Bruce and Nora Schrutt, paternal grandparents. "The Schrutt family would like to express their gratitude to the Berman family for all of their support and love, and for creating such a warm community to belong to. In these uncertain and challenging times, perspective becomes clear. We are so proud of Arielle for raising $613 for Pantry Packers to feed those in Israel who are in need, and we pray for good health and bosorot tovot for all. Mazal Tov to the Fass/Haviv family and may we merit to share a kiddush/simcha in the future."

• Lost and found. A Megillat Esther (on parchment) was found in the yeshiva Beit Midrash. If it is yours, please write to bermanshul@gmail.com.
• Mutual help. We are living through unprecedented times. We are forced to self-isolate and are unable to see our friends, family members, and loved ones, out of a need to protect everyone's health and safety. Our shul had to close its doors, which is extremely challenging and difficult given what a warm and loving community we are blessed to be a part of. We might not be able to physically see each other but that doesn't mean that our community shouldn't stay connected during this lonely time. Even just a short phone call once a day goes a long way in keeping our community strong and united. If you would like to connect with a shul member - whether it be with someone who is around your age group, younger, or older, and possibly even create a friendship in the process - please fill out this form and we will pair you with a fellow shul member for daily chats and check-ins. • Maot Hittim. The Zedaka Committee wishes to remind those who have not yet sent their donations for Maot Hittim to do so as soon as possible. This year it is more critical than in previous years. Please be generous and send your contributions this week, so we can reach out to people before the chag. We take this opportunity to wish all our members excellent health, and chag kasher v’sameach and pray that we return to better times soon. • Birchat Ha-Ilan may be recited from Rosh Hodesh Nissan.   A list of Nutritional supplements, Baby Formulae and Milk substitutes is found in the Full CRC Passover List on page 85.
  Some of the important highlights from the CRC Guide are as follows:
  - All pill medication (with or without chametz) that one swallows is permitted without special hashgacha. Vitamins and Food supplements do not necessarily fall under this category.
  - Liquid and chewable medications that contain kitniyot are permitted for one who is ill.
  - All varieties of body soaps, shampoos and stick deodorants are permitted for use on Pesach regardless of their ingredients.
  - All types of ointments, creams, nail polish, hand lotions, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, foot and face powders, and ink and paint may be used regardless of their ingredients.
  -Lipstick, mouthwash and toothpaste which contain Chametz should not be used.
  -Alcohol products produced in the USA do not contain grain alcohol.
