• Mazal Tov to Tami and Ron Unger on the marriage of their son, Amir, to Sandy Fox from Brooklyn. The wedding took place on Sunday, the last day of Hanukkah. Mazal Tov to Sandy’s father Mr. Bruce Fox, and grandmother Mrs. Barbara Roaman; to Amir’s grandparents Ozer and Zipora Unger and Frida Gold; to Amir’s sisters, and to the entire family who will be coming for Shabbat Sheva Brachot.

• We deeply regret to announce the passing of our former member Sandy Lampach z”l, the mother of our member Caren Radinsky. The funeral took place on Tuesday, December 31st in Rehovot. Caren and her brother will be sitting shiva through Monday morning, January 6 at 24 Chafetz Chaim, Rehovot. Phone numbers: 08-937-0707, 054-998-8150. There will not be a minyan at the Shiva home. • We regret to announce the passing of Shoshana Amitai z”l mother of our member Yaakov Amitai. The funeral will take place today, Thursday, January 2nd at 19:00 at the Sanhedria Cemetery in Jerusalem. • The Shloshim and unveiling for our member Bernie Weinberg z"l, husband of our member Aliza Slatis Weinberg, will take place Friday, January 10th at 11:00 at the Rehovot Cemetery. The Weinberg Family (Aliza, Steven and David) wish to express their deep appreciation to all of the Berman Community for the care and thoughtfulness shown them during the Shiva Week.

• **Next week!!**Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Tevet JSK will be held on January 11th, Parashat Vayechi. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Tuesday, Jan 7th. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
• קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון טבת. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודש טבת יתקיים בשבת פרשת ויחי 11 בינואר. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום שלישי, 7 בינואר. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
• Horim, Yeladim, Pizza and Learning (HYPAL) Sat. night from 18:15 to 19:15. All ages are welcome.
• ערב הורים, ילדים, פיצה ולימוד יתקיים במוצאי שבת בספריית בית הכנסת, בין 18:15-19:15. ערב הלימוד מיועד לכל הגילאים.
• The AGM will take place on Feb 1. If anyone has items that they would like to add to the agenda, please send them to Raphy Nudelman president@bermanshul.org by Jan 15. We cannot guarantee that there will be enough time to discuss items that weren’t submitted in advance.
• Daf Yomi. We'd like to congratulate members who completed learning this cycle of Daf Yomi, but we don't know who all of you are. If you or someone you know completed Daf Yomi, please send in your name to bermanshul@gmail.com.
• Welcome to the group of geirim candidates who will be spending shabbat in our community.
• Seeking volunteers to help a group of converts study for their conversion test. Anyone who can spend an hour or more learning with them in the synagogue's library, going over the material for the exam would be greatly appreciated! The study marathon will be on Sunday 5/1/2020 from 17:00 - 21:00. Please let me know in advance when you can come. It is very important to sit in small groups or one-on-one with them, so would appreciate as many volunteers as possible. • Torah readers needed for many parshiot for 5780. To volunteer, please contact Shmulie Pineles for the main minyan, or Moshe Appel (looking especially for sefer shmot) for the Hashkama minyan. Volunteers through high school age are paid by the shul for their efforts.
