• **This week!!**Scholar in Residence. We are pleased to host a Dr. Shlomo Fischer, Senior Fellow at the Jewish People Policy Institute and a lecturer in sociology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's School of Education. Dr Fischer will give two lectures:
  1. Friday night at 19:30 (in English): Trends in Jewish identity and demographics in the US.
  2. Shabbat afternoon following mincha (approx 16:30) (in Hebrew): Trends in Jewish identity and demographics in Israel.

  1. ליל שבת בשעה 19:30 (באנגלית) מגמות בזהות ובדמוגרפיה היהודית בארה"ב

• **This coming Sunday!!**Annual 10th of Tevet Yom Ha-Kaddish Haclali lecture [in Hebrew] by Naama Galil from Yad Vashem on the 24th of December at 20:00 (Maariv at 19:50). "Between liberation and establishment - the survivors' contribution in the establishment of the State of Israel". Details on the Noticeboard.
• **יום ראשון הקרוב!!**יום ראשון אור לז' טבת ה24 לדצמבר בשמונה בערב תתקיים ההרצאה השנתית ליום הקדיש הכללי (עשרה בטבת) בבית הכנסת בשעה 20:00 (מעריב ב19:50). ההרצאה תנתן על ידי נעמה גליל, חוקרת בכירה ביד ושם, בנושא "ניצולי השואה בין שחרור לבניית מדינה".  פרטים בלוח מודעות. 
• We are looking for youth who would like to read Megillah for the second reading on Purim night. Additionally, starting this week (Parashat VaYigash) there will be a chug meeting on Shabbat mornings after kiddush for youth interested in learning Kriat haMegillah. Those who are interested in reading and/or the chug should contact Moshe Appel.

• Combined Kislev/Tevet Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Kislev/Tevet JSK will be held on Jan 6th Parashat Shemot. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday December 31st. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
