SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

Communal Chanukah Candle Lighting, with music, song and Chanukah programming suitable for all ages. The program will include candidates for giyyur with their families, and recent geirim, so that they can experience Chanukah and meet members of the Berman community. If anyone knows additional geirim or course participants, please invite them as well. The program will take place on Wednesday evening December 13th (2nd night of Chanukah), and will include:
18:00- Short Hebrew shiur on Chanukah basics for the geirim (all are invited) in the shul, with arts and crafts outside for the kids.
18:30- Maariv (Yeshiva dinning room).
18:45- Candle lighting and Chanukah songs (Yeshiva dinning room).
19:15- Light meal.
19:45- Program led by Ilana Friedlander, with musical interludes by a professional musician.
Note that the communal lighting does not fulfill the obligation to light Chanukah candles at home. Cost: NIS10/participant over age 3, maximum NIS 50 per family. Please reserve your place here. הדלקת נרות קהילתית. בחנוכה הקרוב נערוך יחד הדלקת נרות חגיגית קהילתית- לכבוד החנוכה. באירוע יקחו חלק גם כיתת מתגיירים ובני משפחתם. על מנת שהמתגיירים יחוו כראוי את רוח החג וירגישו את המשמעות והעוצמה של קהילה, נשמח למעורבות גבוהה שלכם - מבוגרים, צעירים וילדים כאחד. כמוכן אם מי מכם אירח או מכיר מתגיירים מוזמן להביאם לאירוע. התוכנית (שפרטיה להלן) כוללת שלל פעילויות, שמתאימות לכל גיל. הפעילות תתקיים ביום רביעי, נר שני של חנוכה, כ"ה כסלו (אור לכ"ו כסלו) 13.12.17.
בתוכנית:
18:00 שיעור בסיסי (לגרים) בעברית, בנושא חנוכה (פתוח לכל המבוגרים) בבית הכנסת. במקביל - יצירה לכבוד החנוכה לילדים.
18:30 תפילת ערבית בחדר האוכל של ישיבת הדרום
18:45 הדלקת נרות חנוכה+שירי חנוכה
19:15 ארוחת ערב קלילה אך משביעה
19:45 תוכנית מעשירה וחוויתית, בהנחיית אילנה פרידלנדר. הערב ילווה בקטעי שירה ונגינה מאת נגן מקצועי.
שימו לב: אין יוצאים ידי חובת הדלקת נרות בהדלקה בבית הכנסת ולכן יש להדליק נרות חנוכה עוד קודם לכן, בבית. עלות לכל משתתף: 10 ש"ח למבוגר/ילד ועד 50 ש"ח למשפחה (ילד מתחת לגיל 3 לא משלם). התשלום יתבצע במזומן בערב האירוע. על מנת שנוכל להיערך בהתאם, נודה אם תציינו כמה בני משפחה מתכוונים להגיע, בלינק כאן. לפרטים נוספים ניתן ליצור קשר עם: אילנה פרידלנדר 053-5706592, בתיה גרוס 054-4947194, או מירב מייסנר 052-6482002.
Beit Midrash Nishmat Chaya. There will be no shiurim in the Beit Midrash during Chanukah (12/12/17 and 19/12/17). After Chanukah, Rav Dr Talbi will begin a new series of shiurim on the topic סיכון עצמי לשם הצלת אחרים We invite you to join us and bring your friends.
בית מדרש נשמת חיה. בחנוכה לא יתקיימו שיעורים בבית המדרש (כ"ד בכסלו וא' בטבת). אחרי חנוכה הרב ד"ר טלבי יתחיל נושא חדש: "סיכון עצמי לשם הצלת אחרים". אתם מוזמנים להצטרף.
With Chanukah almost upon us, Purim is not too far behind. We are looking for youth who would like to read Megillah for the second reading on Purim night. Additionally, starting in two weeks (Parashat VaYigash) there will be a chug meeting on Shabbat mornings after kiddush for youth interested in learning Kriat haMegillah. Those who are interested in reading and/or the chug should contact Moshe Appel.
כיוון שחנוכה כמעט הגיע, גם פורים מתקרב. אנו מחפשים בני נוער שמעוניינים לקרוא מגילה בקריאה השניה בליל פורים. בנוסף, החל מעוד שבועיים (פרשת ויגש), יתקיים חוג בבית הכנסת אחרי הקידוש לנוער שרוצים ללמוד לקרוא מגילה. מי שמעוניין לקרוא ו/או להשתתף בחוג נא לפנות למשה אפל.

יום ראשון אור לז' טבת ה24 לדצמבר בשמונה בערב תתקיים ההרצאה השנתית ליום הקדיש הכללי (עשרה בטבת) בבית הכנסת. ההרצאה תנתן על ידי נעמה גליל, חוקרת בכירה ביד ושם. נושא ההרצאה וכן פרטים נוספים ינתנו בהמשך.
Tax deductions for donations to Bermans and other amutot. Anyone who works in Israel (salaried or self-employed) and pays Israel income tax, is reminded that contributions to Bermans shul and other recognized 46א charitable institutions are eligible for a 35% calendar-year-based credit against their Israeli income.
