• We regret to announce the passing of Marta Kaplan z"l, sister of our member Gabriela Cohen. The funeral took place on Monday October 22nd in New York. Gabriela will be sitting shiva at her sister's home in New York until Sunday morning, October 28. • We regret to announce the passing of Martelle Urivetsky z"l, sister of our member Yehuda Berenson. The funeral took place on October 24th in Jerusalem. Shiva is at 16 Chizkiyahu Hamelech, Jerusalem. Please refrain from visiting between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Shacharit: 7:00 AM. Mincha: 5:45 PM Weds, Thurs, and at 4:40 PM Sun, Mon. SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Winter time starts this coming Saturday night (Oct 27th). Move your clocks back one hour (and use the extra hour to do something nice for someone you love).
• בלילה שבין שבת לראשון (27 באוקטובר) נעבור לשעון חורף. אנא זכרו להזיז את המחוג שעה לאחור (ונצלו את השעה הנוספת כדי לעשות טוב לאדם אחר).
• Our annual "MIX IT UP!" Shabbatot - The Berman Community has been blessed again with many new families in the last year. To help everyone get to know each other, we are planning two consecutive special Shabbatot. On Shabbat Chayei Sarah (Nov. 3rd), the Kiddush will be sponsored by the shul in honor of our new members. On that Shabbat, we are also planning to have name tags prepared for all members, which you may optionally affix to your clothing. Non-Berman members are invited to receive a name tag by registering here. The following Shabbat (Nov. 10th), Shabbat Toldot, we will be pairing families for a Shabbat meal. Everyone interested in being "MIXED UP" for a meal please RSVP to hospitality@bermanshul.org by Tuesday, October 30th (add names, whether you prefer to host or be hosted, number of people, ages of children, if there are any allergies, and if you are dog-friendly). We will attempt to match families by neighborhood, occupation and/or country/city of origin. ***This year rather than assigning hosts, we will match pairs of families and they will decide together who hosts and for which meal.***
