• **Next week** On shabbat Parshat Pekudei (March 11-12) we will be honored to have Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz as a scholar in residence. Rabbi Breitowitz received his BA degree from Johns Hopkins University and obtained semicha from Ner Israel Rabbinical College. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and shortly thereafter became the Rav of the Silver Spring Woodside Shul in Silver Spring Maryland while maintaining status as a tenured professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.   Rabbi Breitowitz will give two lectures:
  The Plight of the Aguna, on Friday Night the 2nd of Adar 2 5776 (Mar 11th, 2016) at 8:45 PM

• More from the Education Committee: Since the feedback of last lecture given by Yad Vashem (on the 10th of Tevet) was somewhat negative, as the lecture in English was given by a non-native English speaker (although the lecturer was definitely knowledgeable and would have been more erudite in Hebrew), Yad Vashem graciously, on their own, offered to provide another lecture at Berman's, gratis. Therefore, on Sunday April 3rd, we will be having another lecture from Yad Vashem, this time in Hebrew. The topic and lecturer's name will follow.
   
• Volunteer(s) needed. Looking for coordinator (or co-coordinator) for meals to be delivered to members who are sitting shiva. If meals are requested, the job involves opening a page on Take-them-a-meal, and -if necessary- encouraging people to sign up. For more information and to volunteer, please contact Chaya Tannor.
   
• Please join us for our Pre-Purim Chesed Event for parents and children (ages 2-12) at Matnas Havayyot, co-sponsored by Bermans, on March 14, 2016 from 17:00-19:00. Each child is asked to bring a gift, which the kids will wrap and decorate together. The wrapped presents will be distributed to poor children. There will also be Purim art activities, snacks and fun. We are looking for volunteers to help with set up and clean up, and other jobs. Any donations of gifts or funding are greatly appreciated. Please contact Leora Ronen to sign up/volunteer 0508936488, or mail: ronenleora@gmail.com. More info on the Noticeboard.

• Adar I and II Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Adar I and II Yahrtzeit JSK will be held on Shabbat, Parshat Pekudei (12.3.2016).  To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky no later than Sunday March 6th 2016. Participation: 150 NIS.
