• We regret to announce the passing of Betty Bronner z"l, the mother of our member Shalom Bronner. The funeral took place on Sunday, February 26. Shalom will be sitting shiva at his home in Rehovot, Shoham 48, through Friday afternoon, March 3rd. The number there is 08-945-7861, and Shalom's cell is 054-789-6309. • Members are asked to keep their cell phone numbers up to date on ShulCloud: As most of you know, the community runs a text (SMS) service to notify members of bereavements and funeral arrangements. We are now in a position to tie this service more closely to the ShulCloud membership database. Please help facilitate this process by keeping your information up to date, as follows:
  • Login to the shul website (use the "Forgot my Password" link if you need to):
  • To change your own details: https://www.bermanshul.org/members/my-profile.php#contact.
  • To change details of other family members (if you have "rights"): https://www.bermanshul.org/members/manage-users.php, click on the name of the relevant individual.
  • In the "Contact Info" tab, make sure that your mobile phone number is correct and listed in proper international format, e.g., Israeli numbers +972(50)1234567.
  • Now select the “Bereavement SMS notifications” tab on the right and make your selection (you can always change it at a later date). SMS messages are sent only to Adult members - the setting for Children will be ignored.

• **This week!!** Please join us for our Pre-Purim Chesed Event for parents and children at Matnas Havayyot, co-sponsored by Bermans, on Monday March 6, 2017 from 17:00-19:00. Each child is asked to bring a gift, which the kids will wrap and decorate together. The wrapped presents will be distributed to poor children. There will also be Purim art activities, snacks and fun. We are looking for volunteers to help with set up and clean up, and other jobs. • **This week!!** Lecture- (in Hebrew) Rabbi Meir Goldwicht, a Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva University's Mazer School of Talmudic Studies, will be giving a lecture at the shul on Motzaei Shabat (March 4th) at 19:30 on the topic "Shabbat in Megilat Ester – then and now". Flier on the Noticeboard listing all the talks he will be giving in Rehovot on Shabbat.

• The choir will be performing a few short pieces this shabbat during mussaf in honor of Chodesh Adar.
