Bereavement and Memorial:

• We regret to announce the passing of Rachel bat Zohara Dahan z”l, the mother of our member Etty Grobgeld. The funeral took place on Tuesday February 9th, in Hadera. Etty is sitting Shiva at her mother's house: Rechov Hashushanim 5, Hadera. • The Azkara for Mimi Hershkowitz’s 10th yahrtzeit will take place at the Rehovot cemetery this coming Monday, February 15th, at 4:30 PM.

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS​

• Lecture by Dr Akiva Sternberg (in Hebrew) on his new book "The Ancient Traditionalists – Committed to Halacha, Yet Breaching its Borders".  On Sunday Feb 14th at Bermans. Maariv 19:50, and lecture at 20:00. Dr. Sternberg's  book will be available for purchase for NIS 100. Proceeds to charity. Details and biography of the author on the Noticeboard.

In most cases, your username is your e-mail address. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the forgot password link to reset it. Please e-mail us only if the system tells you that your e-mail address is not registered. Once you succeed in logging in, please review your personal information here and correct it as necessary.
  • Please keep phone numbers in full international format, e.g. +972(54)1234567, +972(8)1234567, etc., since it makes it much easier for us to handle them using standard software
  • Please enter your full 7-digit Israeli postal code (lookup here) - the old 5-digit codes are officially deprecated

• This coming Shabbat [Terumah], the Anim Zmirot Choir, under the direction of Stephen Simpson, will be honored to participate in the tefilla during Mussaf with a few short pieces. Please feel free to sing along with us. To join Anim Zmirot in future participations, please contact Stephen (simpson.stephen@gmail.com).
   
• The Social Committee welcomes new members: We are always looking for new program ideas and people who want to make them happen. If you’ve got a great idea for something we should do or just want to offer to help out on someone else’s program, please reach out! • Last week another group of pre-barmitzva boys completed the Berman chug for ta'amei hamikra. Elnadav Brooks, Gavriel Dobin and Eitan Faust will receive their certificates this Shabbat. Yasher Koach and thank you to David Drori who has taught the chug on a volunteer basis for the last 7 cycles.
• מחזור נוסף (שביעי במספר) של החוג ללימוד טעמי המקרא לילדי קהילת ברמן הסתיים בשבוע שעבר. שלושת המסיימים: אלנדב ברוקס, גבריאל דובין ואיתן פאוסט יקבלו תעודות סיום בשבת. יישר כח ותודה לדוד דרורי שלימד את הקבוצה.
• Attention Berman Shul Parents of First Graders: We are organizing a Kiddush at the Berman Shul on Shabbat Parashat Pekudei (12/3) in honor of our children receiving their first Siddur. For more information and to join, please contact Sara Feigelson.
