Before Rosh Hashana:

• Set up. As always, we need volunteers to help set up our additional venues. Set-up (hanging Mechitza, arranging benches, and moving Aaron Kodsh [Hashkama]) for both Beit Midrash and Hashkama minyans will take place on Saturday night Sept. 24 (before Slichot). Setup for Hashkama minyan at 21:00, and setup for Beit Midrash minyan at 21:30.
• Last chance- Prozbul: The Shmitta year formally ends on Rosh Hashana, and all loans owed you are nullified (known as Shmitat Kesafim). To guarantee the availability of loans, Hillel instituted Prozbul. The consensus of Poskim is that all individuals with bank accounts in Israel need to write a Prozbul. You can appoint Tzohar rabbis to be you messenger for the Prozbul using a free, 2 minute form at https://your.tzohar.org.il/prozbul. More details in a guide by Rabbi Frimer here.

Rosh Hashana:

• Minyanim. The Minyan organizers are working hard to ensure that everyone will have meaningful and comfortable Teffilot. If you have any questions before the chag, feel free to contact: Main minyan: Jerry Kriger / David Colb / Rami Shanani; Beit Midarsh minyan: Dan Feferman / Ephraim Fass; Hashkama minyan Josh Klein / Dan Feigelson. If your issue is still unresolved, contact Emanuel Wesigras at president@bermanshul.org. If you would still like to order a seat, a few places remain. Register at www.bermanshul.org/reg5783. An additional Berman Minyan that starts with Musaf and includes all shofar blowing will be held at 10:00 on both days of Rosh Hashana! The Minyan will take place in the dining hall, the same location as the Hashkama Minyan. Children of all ages are welcomed, along with their toys and snacks. No prior registration required. Contact Jacob Silvermetz with any questions.
• Halacha guides for Rosh Hashana and Yom kippur. The High Holidays are a period rich in ritual and custom. The attached "A Rosh HaShana 5783 Guide to Prayer and Ritual" by Rabbi Aryeh Frimer will give important information regarding their performance. This guide is also meant to assist those individuals who because of Corona have chosen to pray bi-yehidut (in the absence of a minyan) to navigate through the related issues. The useful guide is available here, and on the Noticeboard. A similar guide for Yom Kippur is available here.
• Shofar for the home-bound. Shofar for the homebound. If you are unable to come to shul, you may contact one of the following people, who will come to your home to blow Shofar. You can also contact Dan Feigelson (052-583-8618, djfeigel@yahoo.com) who is coordinating the efforts. Please also contact Dan if you would like to be added to the list of shofar blowers.

• There will be an additional Shofar blowing both mornings of Rosh Hashana at 11:00 in front of the Yeshiva dinning hall.
• Please bring your own Machzorim to all minyanim. The shul has only a limited number.

• Shabbat Shuva Derasha on Thursday. This year's Shabbat Shuva drasha will be on Thursday night the 29th of September (the 5th of Tishrei) at 20:00 by our own Rabbi Prof. Yechezkel Babkoff in English. • Kiddush behavior. We remind everyone of all ages that eating or drinking at the kiddush is not permitted until after Kiddush is recited. Please put your trash in the garbage bins.
• Jointly sponsored Yahrtzeit kiddush - Tishrei. The Tishrei JSK will be held on October 8th, Parashat Haazinu. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Monday, October 3rd. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized.
