SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

Shavuot:

• As Shavuot this year falls on Friday, Rabbi Frimer has prepared a guide regarding Eruv Tavshilin (to permit preparation for Shabbat on Chag) and making "early Shabbat" at the end of Shavuot. The guide may be seen here and on the Noticeboard.
• Tikun Leil Shavuot. The Education Committee has organized a full schedule of learning over the Chag starting Thursday night at 23:00, which may be seen here and on the Noticeboard (you may need to scroll sideways on a cellphone). Note that there will be many parallel Shiurim in Hebrew and English throughout the night, a Shiur for youth (from 7th grade) at 23:00 on Thursday evening, and an additional Shiur for adults on Friday.
• Kids Shavuot Learning and Ice cream! Join us on Shavuot afternoon, Friday May 26 from 16:00-17:45 for learning and ice cream. Learning will be divided into groups with Limmud for Gan aged children, children grades 1-3, children grades 4-6, and grade 7 and up. Can’t wait to see you there!!
• תוכנית לימוד לילדים וגלידה! בוא להשתתף בלימוד קבוצתי ביום שבועות (יום ו׳, 26 במאי) בשעה 16:00 ל-17:45, לצהריים של לימוד ומתוק. הלימוד יתחלק לארבע קבוצות - ילדי גן, כיתות א עד ג, כיתות ד עד ו וכיתות ז ומעלה. נתראה!!
• Women’s Learning Shabbat afternoon of the two-day Shavuot weekend, 27/5 at 18:15 in English at the Wides/Shankman home, 11 Weizmann, Apt 14 (5th floor) - side door will be open. Speakers: Rebecca Krausz, Leora Gorsetman, Dina Manheim, Audrey Samuels, and Ellen Shankman on “Eve and the Apple”.
• Yizkor. To honor the memory of Berman members, we have posted a list of the deceased who were members at the time of their passing. The list may be seen here (women) and here (men), and on the Noticeboard.

Everything else

• Thank you to Shimon Krausz and Rami Shanani and the Berman Band for an informative and enjoyable Yom Yerushalayim event, with traditional food inspired by the Yishuv Hayashan.
