Jeff will be sitting shiva at his home, 43 Yahalom, through Friday morning, February 1. Jeff requests nichum avelim only between the hours of 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM. • **This week!!**Scholar in Residence. On Shabbat Parshat Mishpatim (27th of Shvat, February 2nd) we are pleased to host Yael Unterman as a Scholar in Residence. Yael Unterman is a Jerusalem-based international lecturer, scholar, author, and life coach. Her books, "Nehama Leibowitz: Teacher and Bible Scholar" (Urim) and "The Hidden of Things: Twelve Stories of Love & Longing" (Yotzeret) were finalists in national award competitions. She holds M.A.s in Jewish History and in Creative Writing, and has also appeared in her own one-woman show worldwide. She will give two lectures on:
  Nehama Leibowitz: Reflections of a Biographer, Ten Years On (Shabbat Morning after kiddush (approx 11:00 AM)) in English
  Rabbi Akiva and his Wife: Two Models of Relationship (Shabbat afternoon after Mincha (Approx 16:55)) in Hebrew
• **השבוע**בשבת פרשת משפטים כ"ו בשבט, 2 בפברואר, תתארח בבית הכנסת בתור מרצה אורחת יעל אונטרמן. יעל אונטרמן היא מרצה בינלאומית, חוקרת, סופרת ומאמנת חיים בירושלים. ספריה "נחמה ליבוביץ': מורה וחוקרת תנ"ך" (אורים) ו"דברים נסתרים: שנים עשר סיפורי אהבה וגעגועים" (יוצרת) היו בין הספרים שהיו בגמר בתחרויות ספרים. יעל בעלת תואר שני בהיסטוריה יהודית ובכתיבה יצירתית, ויש לה תערוכת יחיד שהיא מציגה ברחבי העולם. היא תתן שתי הרצאות על:
  1. נחמה ליבוביץ: הרהורים של ביוגרף, עשר שנים אחרי. ביום שבת לאחר התפילה והקידוש בבוקר (בסביבות 11:00). ההרצאה תינתן באנגלית

Using a psychodramatic technique invented by a Harvard professor, we bring to life the fascinating figure of the prophetess Miriam. The shiur will be in English at 9:00pm at the home of Leora Gorsetman and Omri Flicker, Address: Eliyahu Glazer 17, Apt. 17, fifth floor. No shabbat elevator.

• **This week!!**...and every winter Motzaei Shabbat. Horim, Yeladim, Pizza and Learning (HYPAL) - sponsored this week by Leora and Eitan and Ronen - will take place on motza'ei Shabbat in the shul library 20 minutes after Shabbat ends (starting at 6:15 PM). We're looking forward to building on last week's great learning by over 70 participants. The first 40 minutes will be open learning time followed by a short dvar Torah and pizza (including gluten-free). Feel free to bring books/materials of your own. Some suggested learning sheets as well as the library sefarim will be available for use. All ages are welcome.

They are pre-retirement, looking to make aliyah in the near future from Brooklyn, NY. Her wheelchair is 27 inches or 69 cm wide. What we need: Hosts...
  1 - within a half mile radius of shul
  2 - with a Shabbat elevator
  3 - with a bathroom that is wheelchair (69 cm wide) accessible or with the toilet situated next to the door.
