Rosh Hashana:

• Please remember to set aside an Eruv Tavshilin on Wednesday erev chag, to allow food preparation on chag for Shabbat. For a brief review, see https://oukosher.org/blog/consumer-kosher/eruv-tavshilin-primer/.

• Maariv on Rosh Hashana will be held only in the main shul on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. There are no reserved seats, and the balcony will be used for men's seating. The downstairs women's section will be open as usual for women.
• תפילת מעריב בראש השנה תתקיים רק בבית הכנסת המרכזי בערבי רביעי וחמישי. אין מקומות שמורים, והיציע ישמש למושבי הגברים. עזרת הנשים תהיה פתוחה כרגיל, לנשים.

• There will be an additional shofar blowing at 12:15 in the main shul on both days of Rosh Hashana for those who are unable to be inside during the davening. Please allow people to leave at the end of services before coming in, but please be on time, as those blowing shofar will not blow repeatedly for late comers.
• תקיעת שופר נוספת תתקיים בשעה 12:15 בבית כנסת המרכזי בשני ימי ראש השנה עבור אלו שאינם יכולים לשהות בבית כנסת בזמן התפילה. אנא אפשרו לאנשים לצאת מבית הכנסת בסוף התפילה לפני שנכנסים, אך אנא הגיעו בזמן מכיוון שהתוקעים לא יתקעו שוב עבור המאחרים.

• Strollers. As always, those attending the Main and Hashkama minyanim are asked to leave strollers outside the building. Strollers may be brought into the Beit Midrash minyan, but must be kept in the back of the room; strollers with sleeping babies may be brought into the minyan in the Yeshiva library. All the venues are wheelchair accessible with the exception of the Beit Midrash.
• עגלות. כמו תמיד, מתפללים שמגיעים למניין המרכזי ולהשכמה מתבקשים להשאיר את העגלות מחוץ למבנה. ניתן להכניס עגלות למניין בית המדרש, אך יש להשאירן בחלקו האחורי של החדר; עגלות בהן ילדים ישנים ניתן להכניס אל המניין בספריית הישיבה. כל המתחמים נגישים לכיסאות גלגלים, למעט בית המדרש.
   
• Please bring your own machzorim to all the minyanim, as the shul has only a very limited number available. 
•    אנא הביאו עמכם מחזורים לכל המניינים, שכן בבית הכנסת מלאי מוגבל בלבד.
• A joint Kiddush will be held under the pergola for the Main and Beit Midrash minyanim, and a joint qiddush will be held in the large Yeshiva dinning room for both of the early minyanim upon their completion of tefillot. A representative from each minyan will recite kiddush. 
• קידוש משותף יתקיים תחת הפרגולה למניין המרכזי ולמנין בית המדרש, וקידוש משותף יתקיים בחדר האוכל של הישיבה לשני המניינים המוקדמים, עם השלמת התפילות. נציג מכל מניין  יקדש.
• Shabbat Shuva Drasha (In English) Rav Yehezkel Babkoff immediately after mincha on Shabbat afternoon

..and beyond:

• Yom Kippur set up for BM and Hashkama minyanim. Volunteers needed to help set up the rooms for the Beit Midrash and Hashkama minyanim for Yom Kippur on Thursday Sept 28th at 20:00, and to reset the rooms immediately after Havdala and break-fast on Motzaei Yom Kippur. Please remember that we are a single community and please come help (it will not take long), whichever minyan you plan to attend. 
• ארגון חדרי התפילה עבור מניין בית המדרש, ומניין ההשכמה. דרושים מתנדבים לעזור לארגן את החדרים עבור מניין בית המדרש, ומניין ההשכמה. ארגון החדרים ליום כיפור ב28/9 בשעה 20:00 ופירוק אחרי הבדלה במוצאי יום כיפור. אנא זכרו כי אנחנו קהילה אחת ובואו לעזור ללא תלות במניין שבו אתם מתכוונים להתפלל בו (זה לא יקח הרבה זמן).  
• Annual “Bein Kesseh le’Assor” Lecture. Dr. Eliezer Zilberfenig, lecturer at the Hebrew University Philosophy Department will speak in Hebrew on בחירה חופשית ועיקרי אמונה בהלכות תשובה לרמב"ם; Wednesday Evening, 6th of Tishrei 5778 (September 27th, 2017). Ma’ariv: 19:50 Lecture 20:00. Please bring a copy of Hilchot Teshuva of the Rambam
• Slichot. There will be a Maariv minyan each weekday night at 22:20, followed by Selichot at 22:30 until Yom Kippur. On Motzei Shabbat/erev Tzom Gedalya (Sept 23rd) and on Motzei Tzom Gedalya (Sept 24th) there will be no late Maariv service, only slichot at 22:30. There will also be slichot every morning before Shacharit.
• סליחות. תתקיים תפילת ערבית כל יום חול בשעה 22:20, ומיד לאחריה אמירת סליחות בשעה 22:30. במוצאי שבת/ערב צום גדליה (23/9) ובמוצאי צום גדליה (24/9) לא תהיה תפילת ערבית מאוחרת אלא רק אמירת סליחות בשעה 22:30. יתקיימו גם אמירת סליחות כל בוקר לפני תפילת שחרית.
• The joint Berman-Darchei Noam book club will be holding its first meeting on Sunday, September 24th at 20:30 at the home of Nettie Beer, Hashomrim 45. We are interested in having as many people as possible join us. This is an important, as well as an interesting project with an Orthodox synagogue from Minneapolis.
