  • Mazal Tov to Angie and Mike Ze'evi on the upcoming marriage of their daughter Esti to Yigal Auman, son of Sherry and Adrian Auman of Ra'anana. Special Mazal Tov to Esti’s grandparents Ed and Betty Wolfeת and to the entire extended family.
  • Mazal Tov to David Tannor and Naomi Esses and the extended Tannor and Esses families on the upcoming wedding of Shlomo to Dena Weiss of New York City. Mazal Tov and welcome to Dena’s parents, Chazan Sam Weiss and Professor Roslyn Weiss, to Dena’s sister, Miriam, and to David’s sisters, Shira and Gaby, who came in from the US for the wedding.

  • We regret to announce the passing of Shoshana Levinson z"l, the mother of our member Pinchas (Paul) Levinson. The funeral took place on Wed 22 May, 2019, in Jerusalem. Pinchas will be sitting shiva at his home, Sapir 25, Rehovot, until next Tuesday morning (28th May). On Friday, there will be Shacharit only (no Mincha or other visits). Pinchas can be reached at 052-880-1072. Davening times are Shacharit: 6:15, Mincha: 19:25, Ma'ariv: 20:00. המקום ינחם אותו בתוך שאר אבלי ציון וירושלים

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

  • Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Iyyar/Sivan JSK will be held on June 8th, Parashat Nasso. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday, June 2nd. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
  • קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון אייר-סיון. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודשים אייר וסיון יתקיים בשבת פרשת נשא 8 ביוני. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 2 ביוני. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
  • The next board meeting will take place on Tuesday June 4th at 19:30.
  • ישיבת ההנהלה של בית הכנסת תתקיים ביום ג', 4.06.19 בשעה 19:30.
  • Beit Midrash Nishmat Chaya. This Tuesday Rav Lindenbaum will begin a new series of shiurim on the topic: Money + Politics = Corruption. Everyone is invited to attend and bring friends. Tuesday evenings at 19:00
  • בית מדרש נשמת חיה. השבוע הרב לינדנבאום יתחיל נושא חדש: הון שלטון ושחיתות ציבורית. כולם מוזמנים להשתתף. יומי שלישי בשעה 19:00.
  • Parents of Shminsitim (12th graders) are asked to identify themselves to facilitate organization of the annual kiddush in honor of their graduation. If you have a son/daughter in 12th grade, please email Abby Sternlicht at hsternlicht@mail.com with your contact info.

  • ESRA Rehovot invites you to an Art Master Class on the “Renaissance Man: Leonardo Da Vinci” given by Kinneret Zohar-Lahav. Kinneret lectures in art, archaeology, mythology, culture and the history of Europe and the Middle East. She is a graduate of the Department of Art History at the Hebrew University with more than 20 years’ experience in guiding visitors of all ages at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem and the Eretz Israel Museum, Ramat Aviv. Kinneret's lectures are an "arm-chair-travelling" delight during which she (virtually) guides her audience though the finest museum galleries in the world. The lectures frequently include music and film excerpts which make learning fun and enjoyable. They are suitable for anyone who wishes to enlighten themselves!
