Births:

  • Mazal Tov to Anita and Fred Naider on the birth of a grandson, born on Shabbat to their children Elana and Yonatan Kohn of Yad Binyamin. Mazal Tov to siblings Adina, Elhanan, Ezra, Mordechai, Aderet and Nava, and to grandmother Charlotte Kohn.
  • Mazal Tov to Norma Rosenfeld on the birth of a great granddaughter born to Shlomzion and Michael Presman-Halamish of Zur Hadassah. Mazal Tov as well to grandparents, Yonatan and Orly Kelman.

Engagements and Wedding:

  • Mazal Tov to Geraldine and David Leifer on the recent wedding of their son Gidon to Timna from Ramat Yishai, daughter of Haim Factor and Rhonda Joy Eagle.
  • Mazal Tov to Molly and Heshi Bodner on the marriage of their granddaughter Ayala Emunah, daughter of their children Fayga and Haim Malmud, to Elad Bezalel, son of Edna and Doron Bezalel of Har Choma. Mazal Tov as well to the extended families.

Bereavement and Memorial זיכרון ושכול:

  • The azkara for our dear member Jay Goldstein (Yakov Sandor) ז"ל will take place Monday, the 3rd of June (29th of Iyyar, 5779) at the Rehovot Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 18:30 at the Rehovot cemetery entrance.

  • **This week!!**Scholar in Residence. מרצה אורחת- דורשות טוב. As part of Shabbat Dorshot Tov, on Shabat Parshat Bamidbar (27th of Iyar, June 1st), we are pleased to host Efrat Grossman as a Scholar in Residence. She will give two lectures in Hebrew:
    1. Shabbat Morning after kiddush (approx 10:50 AM) ביום ההוא תקראי אישי ולא תקראי לי עוד בעלי
    2. Shabbat afternoon following Mincha (Approx 19:25) שבועות של ציפייה
  • Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Iyyar/Sivan JSK will be held on June 8th, Parashat Nasso. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than this coming Sunday, June 2nd. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
  • קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון אייר-סיון. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודשים אייר וסיון יתקיים בשבת פרשת נשא 8 ביוני. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 2 ביוני. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
  • Shavuot I. Second annual parent/child learning program on Shavuot afternoon (Sunday June 9th) 18:00-19:30 at the shul. Children of all ages welcome. There will be facilitated learning for different age groups (4 - 6, 7 - 9 and 10+). Refreshments to include Ben & Jerry's ice cream sundae bar. Join us for a festive parent/child learning experience!
  • בחג השבועות בצהריים (יום א' 09.06.2019) יערך לימוד הורים וילדים בבית כנסת ברמן, בחסות ועדת התרבות וועדת החינוך. הלימוד יחל בשעה 18:00 למשך שעה וחצי. ילדים והורים בכל הגילאים מוזמנים. הלימוד יהיה מותאם לגילאים שונים (4-6, 7-9, ו10+). במהלך הלימוד יוגש כיבוד קל שיכלול גלידה Ben & Jerry's. בואו בשמחה, ושנזכה לעסוק יחד בדברי תורה!
  • Shavuot II. The schedule of shiurim for Tikun Leil Shavuot on Shavuot night for all ages is posted on the Noticeboard.

  • The next board meeting scheduled for Tuesday June 4th is cancelled.

  • Emunah Rehovot Say Cheese Tuesday June 4 2019 at 10:30 a.m. (note new time). Special Pre Shavuot meeting where you can learn about different cheeses, taste different cheeses and discover facts about cheese, which you might not know. At the home of Sara Milano, Prof. Ephraim Katzir Street 5/21, Rehovot. Member’s donation NIS 15, Non-member’s donation NIS 20.

  • ESRA Rehovot invites you to an Art Master Class on the “Renaissance Man: Leonardo Da Vinci” given by Kinneret Zohar-Lahav. Kinneret lectures in art, archaeology, mythology, culture and the history of Europe and the Middle East. She is a graduate of the Department of Art History at the Hebrew University with more than 20 years’ experience in guiding visitors of all ages at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem and the Eretz Israel Museum, Ramat Aviv. Kinneret's lectures are an "arm-chair-travelling" delight during which she (virtually) guides her audience though the finest museum galleries in the world. The lectures frequently include music and film excerpts which make learning fun and enjoyable. They are suitable for anyone who wishes to enlighten themselves!
