SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Exceptional minyan start times. Hashkama minyan this week will start at 6:20 due to Rosh Hodesh.
• זמני תפילה חריגים. מנין ההשכמה בשבת יתחיל בשעה 6:20  עקב שבת ראש חודש.
• There will be a board meeting on Wednesday Oct 25th at 8:00 PM.
• ישיבת ועד המנהל תתקיים ביום רביעי 25 באוקטובר, בשעה 20:00.
• Our annual "MIX IT UP!" Shabbatot - The Berman Community has been blessed again with many new families in the last year. To help the veteran members (“vatikim”) and newcomers get to know each other, we are planning two consecutive special Shabbatot. On Shabbat Chayei Sarah (Nov. 11th), we will be pairing new families with vatikim for Shabbat lunch. Newcomers who are interested in being invited and vatikim who are interested in hosting (or vice versa) please RSVP to hospitality@bermanshul.org by Nov 5th (add names, host or hosting, number of people, ages of children, if there are any allergies, if you are dog-friendly).  We will attempt to match families by neighborhood, occupation and/or country/city of origin. The following Shabbat (Nov. 18th), Shabbat Toldot, the Kiddush will be sponsored by the shul in honor of our new members. On that Shabbat, we are also planning to have name tags prepared for all members, which you may optionally affix to your clothing. Non-Berman members are invited to receive a name tag by registering here.   
• קהילתו התברכה בשנים האחרונות בהרבה משפחות חדשות. כדי לעזור לוותיקים וחדשים להכיר אחד את השני אנו מתכננים שני אירועים בשתי שבתות ברצף. בשבת חיי שרה (11.11) אנו מזווגים משפחות חדשות עם וותיקים לארוחת שבת. משפחות חדשות שמעוניינות להתארח ומשפחות וותיקות שמעוניינות לארח (או להיפך) נא לשלוח מייל ל-hospitality@bermanshul.org עד ה5-11 (להוסיף שמות, לארח או אירוח, מספר אנשים וגילי ילדים, אם יש אלרגיות כלשהן, ואם מסתדרים עם כלבים). ננסה לזווג משפחות לפי שכונה, מקצוע ו/או ארץ ועיר מולדת. בשבת אחרי זה, שבת תולדות (18.11) הקידוש יהיה בחסות בית הכנסת לכבוד החברים החדשים. באותה שבת יחלקו תגיות עם שמות חברי בית הכנסת שניתן יהיה להדביק על הבגד. מי שאינו חבר בית הכנסת יכול לקבל תגית על ידי רישום פה.
• We are pleased to announce the opening of a new group (the eighth) learning Taamei HaMikra. The group, which will be taught by David Drory, is intended for Berman boys in the 5th and 6th grades. The course is free of charge and will take place at David's home once a week on Wednesday afternoons. Please register by email dvd258@gmail.com.

• **Next week!!** Combined Tishrei/Cheshvan Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Tishrei/Chesvan JSK will be held on October 28th, Parashat Lech Lecha. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday October 22. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
• **שבוע הבא!!** קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון תשרי\חשון. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודשים תשרי\חשון יתקיים בשבת פרשת לך לך, 28 באוקטובר. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 22 באוקטובר. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
